The only associations I can think of are in relation to Marilyn Monroe. She was friends with Frank Sintra who was linked to the mafia and he knew the Kennedy's brother in law Peter Lawford. JFK also was friends with someone Giancarlo - I can't think of his name - and when the President wanted to be alone with Marilyn, Giancarlo would give him his beach house for the night.

Read Bill Bonnano's book, Bound By Blood A Mafioso's Story. He talks about his father's(Joe Bonnano's) relationship with JFK's father, and the Kennedy's association with the Mafia, as well as the JFK assination.
He tells how the mafia got him elected, and then assasinated him when it didn't go their way. It is a very interesting book, I reccomend it.

There's a wonderful A&E Biography of "The Rat Pack", which also gives a good telling of Sinatra's links to both the Kennedy's and the mafia. Look out for it in upcoming listings, I think it's a 3 or 4-parter. Apple

Thank you, Eddie & SC...it's all coming together now!! Yep - poor Frankie was used BIG TIME by the Kennedy's & thier 'pals' before the election; only to be tossed out w/ the garbage when he was no longer of use to them. Sinatra's refusal to turn away from his friend Sammy Davis Jr. apparently made him a bad connection for the Kennedy's. In fact, another thing I recall hearing is that there was a plot to whack Sammy, because of his impending marriage to a white woman (remember, this was the early 1960's), and somehow Frankie interceded in that - I forget how. Ooooh, this IS a FUN topic!!! Apple

That sounds right - and wasn't Frank's friendship/association w/ Sammy & his standing as Sammy's best man what led to that final break w/ the Kennedy's? Bottom line...Sinatra's are loyal. Kennedy's are not. Then in 1963 when Frank Sinatra Jr. was kidnapped, didn't Frank Sr. outright refuse any offer of assistance from Sam Giancana (as told by singer Keely Smith)? Apple

You may want to read Davis' autobiography, "Yes I Can", which is a great read, and some interesting insight into Sinatra, the racial problems that Davis faced, and how his "Rat Pack" friends stood up for him. Sammy married May Britt, a white actress, in 1960. The marriage was then illegal in 31 states (because of the difference in color), and to help defray the political ramifications against Kennedy, who was elected in November of that year, Davis' marriage celebrations were delayed until AFTER the election. To show his gratitude for that, Kennedy invited Sammy and his wife to the inauguration that following January, but cancelled that invitation after his political aides argued his image would be tarnished. Oddly enough, to tie into this message board, May Britt's best acting role was in the movie called "Murder, Inc.", which starred a young Peter Falk as killer Abe Reles.

Sam Giancana ran The Outfit in Chicago. Judith Exner was one of his mistresses. Ms. Exner was also mistressing the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, who was killed in Dallas. The alleged "assassin" [fall guy] of President Kennedy was himself killed while in police custody* by Jack Rubinstein. Jack 'Ruby' was Sam Giancana's man in Dallas/Ft Worth, running the rackets there as a satellite enterprise for the Chicago Outfit. He was convicted of the murder and died in prison in 1967, maintaining until the end that he alone knew the truth and promising that he would take this secret to his grave. Of course he made good on that promise. * basis for the Hyman Roth hit in GFII

Frank Sinatra himself came within a YES or NO of being whacked by Sam Giancana's outfit. When Sam's underlings went to him to get the ok, Sam's reply was ( and I love this reply ) ; "Nah, let him live, I love his music too much!"
In actuality The Kennedy's pestered Peter Lawford to get Frank Sinatra to ask Sam Giancana for his help in getting John elected President. Appleonya and SC are right on the money with thier posts regarding this stuff. Many dead people "voted" in that election, and also Giancana had many strong ties with the Unions and the Kennedy's knew this and this is what helped in getting John Boy elected President. After a while Joseph and Bobby Kennedy did NOT want thier son/brother associating with Frank Sinatra. Now that John was President they knew that it would be payback time for Giancana and Sinatra's ass was on the line (because of the Kennedy's refusal to return favors) and the Kennedy's refusal to see him any longer is what almost got Frank whacked by the boys! Just like a Kennedy, use the Mob and the Unions to reach thier political aspirations, and then turn around and try to Destroy the Teamsters and refuse to return favors to the people who helped them get into office. Hey, proof is in the pudding with the Kennedy's " You reap what you sow!"

actually ruby was a lacky for the outfit, banished to dallas as punishment for screwing up a business deal in chicago, giancana and santo jr. though found use for him, after castro arrested trafficante as a spy giancana and certain spook cia officers were employed to put a hit on castro as soon as santo was exiled, ruby as stupid as this sounds was the gopher between fla. chicago, cuba and new orleans,it was his job to make all the deals for the hit,it was called operation castro, but the deal fell through when kennedy stopped the attack on cuba{bay of pigs]THIS pissed off everyone involved, cia, mob, teamsters, hoffa had a huge stake in wanting cuba run by these people, he was sitting on a huge amount of cash{pension fund}that they were about to dump into the cuban gaming business.kennedy then came out and hired his brother, his brother quickly went to work on hoffa, organised crime, etc.robert sealed his brothers fate with his senate inq.
