In my search about the Dutch mafia I saw a terrific site about the mafia in the Netherlands but also about other countries. There I saw some pictures and thought it could be an interestic poll.

When you click this link: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marcelboven/Start.html and then search for the link "Kerkhof" (Dutch word for graveyard).

and look at the pictures. Which grave-tomb you like most?

Me the one of Giuseppe Masseria. What do you guys think?

http://home.wanadoo.nl/marcelboven/Joegoslavie1.html

Would anybody be good enough to transelate the following for me?

I am originally from Yugoslavia, so I would really like to know what have they written in these 2 paragraphs.
Thanks a lot!

I will:

In Joegoslavie (a land I cannot spell in Englisch) there is a very violent underground. At time of the war there were many leaders of the organized crime involved with the fightings. After the war they still kept there power.

The former president of Joegoslavie, Slobodan Milosevic, brought in 1997 a official visit to Peking. Short time after that there was announced that there will come a China Town in Belgrade. At that time there were hardly no Chinese people in Belgrade. In 2001 there was announced that Belgrade was the centre of the white whassing of money that the Chinese crime organizations earned with there mobbing jobs. At this time 600 chinese people are living in Belgrade. The Chinese community in Belgrade made about 1,8 billion $ dollar over to China. 300.000 $ dollar every person. (1.8 billion : 6000 people = 300.000). And you keep in mind that the normal income of people in Belgrade is far below it, it's actually 500 $ dollar.

Gracias Dias Paisan,

M.M. Floors

BTW Please give your opinions of the grave-tombs!

That is a great site, M.M.!

You may want to check out a link (below) to a site dedicated to the graves of famous (and infamous) folk. To see mob guys' graves go to the second page and click on "Claim to Fame", and then "Criminals" (OR you can search by "Name" if you're looking for a specific person). Click on the individual's name and you'll see some pics. Have a look, its worth the time.

Thanks for the hard work MM Floors If I had to chose a 'best' grave I'd go with Sam Giancannas, it looks more comfortable than the others

Well well, It cost some time but here is the first research.

Dutch Mafia

In my search about the Dutch Mafia the first thing I found was the legendary "Pistolen Paultje'. In English the translation is something like "Guns Paulie' (or something like that). His real name was Paul Wilking, alias the uncrowned king of the underworld. He's born in Amsterdam 1924. In school time he wasn't busy with mathematics/science or language. He was always busy with guns/legendary gangsters. Every money he earned goes to the making/buying of his weapons. When the second world war begun he was member of the resistance group Melchior. There job was to steal guns from German Soldiers and bring them to Dutch fellow members/soldiers. For his jobs in WWII he got some medals. From the Dutch Queenhouse but also from the English Queen for helping a English Pilot behind enemy lines.

After the war he was a weapon dealer and he had a club called Club Seven. With this he got some contacts across the world. Examples are Moboetu from Congo, and Ben Bella from Algerie. With the dealing he earned a lot of money, he was a real expert on this.

In 1949 he had a new kind of dealing. This was in watches ("Horloges' in Dutch). The watches were bad, there are stories that some watches didn't work for less then an hour after buying. But that didn't bother him. Business is business.

But there are also some good things about him. He was a animal protector and a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He thought that the Dutch government was to soft with the punishments of people who kill/maltreat animals. Last year he was called the protector of the year. This award is still in his office and Paul is proud on it. Paul's army was about 30 secret men. They were the buttons and executed the orders Paul gave them. In his house there are living two cats and he's very kind of them.

A other hobby of Paul was cars. He had many of them. They were all beautiful. Unfortunately I couldn't find much info about it.

Also there were some murder attempts on his life. This was because of the fact that he sold weapons to people who had many enemy's. For example Ben Bella, he was an enemy of the Red Hand. So the Red Hand planted a bom in Paul's car. Fortunately it exploded before Paul was in.

When you compare this to the Italian mafia there are a lot of differences. In the time of Paul's reign he hardly didn't kill anybody or gave orders to his men to do it. But the dealing stuff is almost the same. Vito Corleone had the gambling business, Sollozzo the narcotics and Paul the weapons. This isn't a big difference. The hierarchy in the Dutch Mafia was also very different. In the Italian you have Don, Consigliori, Capo's, etc. But in the Dutch Mafia (in Paul's mafia) you had Don or just leader, one right hand and the rest of the people are all the same rank.

Octopus Syndicate

Organization who handles in narcotics. Top figures are Anton H., Johan V., Charles Z., Henk Orlando R., Jacobus L. en Fouad Abbas. Very wealthy organization. Accused for many murders/killings. The organization has connections with high people from police and justice.

For now I'll quit. Hope to do some new research next week.

Gracias Dias,

MMF

Some interesting news for some people:

Yesterday was Mafia boss Cor van Hout shot down by two unknown people. Cor was a gangleader who was active in drug/sex/gambling branches, also he's linked to several killings. Cor survived two other attempts on his life. But the third one was fatal.

Sorry for reviving but I wanted to ask M.M.Floors something.

In your first post, you said something about 'search for Kerkhof'. But when I tried under 'zoeken' I couldn't do anything?
