I was watching this show on A/E or one of those cable "information" channels. I saw the show was about this drug seller from Colombia called Pablo Escobar. DAMN!... that guy was ruthless, he was having a party and drowned a waiter in his hacienda for stealing. He tied the waiters hands and feet together and threw him in the pool in full view of all the guests. He owned a para-military group, judges, cops, and even had giraffes and elephants in his home(ala Michael Jackson). Are Italian Dons this extravagant, i would assume they are that ruthless, if not more. Anyways just though i would "inform" about Mr. Escobar.

Yeah, watch the movie "Blow" with Johnny Depp, where Pablo Escobar is characterized. Pretty good movie. Watch the deleted scenes on the DVD for more info about the guy. All I really know is that he was the drug lord of Cocain in the 70/80s.

If you interested in Pablo Escobar, read the book "Killing Pablo" by Mark Bowden. It tells of his rise and fall. Its very interesting. Everyone just thought he was some street thug but he was a truely vicious killer. He eventually was killed by the government in a rooftop shootout in 1993. The Columbian government would do anything to arrest him. They even let him build his OWN prison. Of course it was more lavish than anything ive ever seen. So eventually the government wouldnt let him stay there anymore but of coure he had secret passages in his mansion, i mean prison, so he escaped. But he was eventually killed so justice did prevail.
I buy you out. You don't buy me out.

Pablo Escobar was the head of the Medellin Drug Cartel. He got very rich in the early 80's, and eventually became the most powerful drug kingpin in the world. He was making $500,000 a day......and this was back in the late 70's and 80's. This guy was the seventh richest man in the world at the time I believe.
Very powerful, and he knew what he was doing.

But forget the kind heartedness. If the local people woke up and realised the money that these two people were using to help them was from the drugs that they sold to there children it would be a different story. Pablo Escobar however has a great story behind him. Vincent Hanna, if you do a search you'll probably find my previous comments on this drug baron. A film should be made on this guys life. Blow is a good film though and the character playing him looks almost identical to the real deal.

Pablo Escobar was the man. If i could have his life I would take it in a second. But I wouldnt kill innocent people. I would be very peaceful. But I would make people who screwed me over pay, guilty people who need to learn a lesson. But kids, no. Families, no way. I find that wrong what he did killing innocent people. But the people that crossed him, they deserved it.

Enemies are enemies, innocent or guilty they must be destroyed
I hate people who are against vengance, they say that killing them won't make the lost come back, the way i see it, if you let them get away with that, they'll do it again and again until you are destroyed.

He would kill anyone to maintain his power and wouldn't give it a second though. Pablo Escubar offered bounties to kids sometimes as young as 14 if they killed police officers. And in a poor country like Columbia these kids would do it for the money. These police officers did a job to protect these people and the thanks they get is a bullet in the back of the head - something isn't right there.

Thanks for everything everyone, I finished reading "Killing Pablo" which was a GREAT book and i recommend it to everyone. In response to the VMP, yes Colombia does lead the world in cocaine production and Mexico does bring in lots of pot from the south, but who is demanding it? all the junkies in the USA and I dont know why but for some reason I have a pet peeve that makes me "mad" when i see ppl spell Colombia, Columbia.
