There a guy named Colombo that ran the Jersey Mafia, right? Was he pretty big? I don't remember his first name though. I was told an interesting story about him.

Are you referring to Joe Colombo, who had connections to the making of the Godfather as frontman for the ItalianAmerican Civil Rights League?

Maybe. All I Know is that my grandparents used to go to the Colombo's house all the time and would sometimes bring thier children thier, my dad included. And apparently this guy was up there. But thats all my dad would say. My grandma was very close with his wife.

Joe Columbo may have had some connections to NJ racketeers. But his family was headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, where it had been when it was headed by Joe Profaci, Columbo's predecssor once removed, and Joe Magliocco, his immediate predecessor.

It wasn't Joe, I think his name was Vincent. It was a long time ago when my dad was little. I'll have to ask my grandparents since my dad doesn't really remember.
