This is big-time crap. I'm not talking about hoods. The mafia, yakuza, cartel, etc. would be the right ones.
It's not personal, it's strictly business-Al Pacino/Godfather 1

My neighbour showed me some photographs. He pointed at the only man sitting down and said, "he's sitting down because he is the capo" then he pointed to "his bodyguards" and "his wife" etc. They all looked like standard people, from like the 50's or something, black and white photo. Turns out they used to work with Capone back in the day in Chicago. My neighbour is of Italian American descent, he said that La Cosa Nostra meant 'the thing we do' or 'our thing'. Pretty cool, as you can imagine I was stunned.
I have some other stories about London stuff but its too close for comfort.

This thing of ours. That's pretty common, I think he putting you on.
Anyways, my family came over and helped run the betting in Reading. Everyone alive is legit though, all the illegit people died off, which was only 1 or 2.

my uncle was member of the mexican drug cartel and got busted like a year ago in a early morning raid. i remember the FBI and the DEA were always asking us question about him and tapping our phone and once in a while a suspicious car would be outside our for a long time.

My grandfather wasn't a gangster, but he was a truckdriver in the Mob-controlled Fulton Fish Market in NYC and knew plenty of gangsters. During Prohibition, he had a still in his house in Brooklyn and bred Pomeranian dogs, which he sold to gangsters (they loved the dogs). My father told me that one day, a "textbook gangster" in black coat and pearl-gray fedora came to the house, had a drink with my grandfather and bought one of the dogs. The following week, my father said that the NY Daily News ran a photo of the same gangster on p.1--he'd been murdered.
