Above is a link to our local news website. About a half mile from my house there was an alleged hit on the 70 year-old father-in-law of a mob guy - Daniel Pagano - who is currently serving time. Sometimes I ride my bike or jog past this guys house. Not that day, thank God.

That's a creepy situation. I wouldn't want to come out of my house. Did you realize you had someone living so close to you with Mob ties?

As long as your not involved with the Mob, I wouldn't be afraid to leave my house. One of my really good friend's father is involved with the mob, and I think he's a great guy (the reason I'm in the "know" is because my friend trusts me and has known me for years). He would never hurt an innocent. I don't know specifics about his work (like if he's whacked anybody or gave any orders), but I know he owns a recycling company in the Jersey meadowlands. They also have a lot of money.

Oh and this may not be real life, but you know in the opening of the Sopranos, the pizza shop named "Pizza Land", well thats litterally a block from my house. Good pizza. The Sopranos is filmed in my town all time. Pretty cool stuff.

That is scary Mary Cas. I almost had a situation like that happen to my family along time ago. Back in the 1950's-60's my grandfather(RIP), used to be a big housing contractor and the mafia wanted his services because of his hard work. Thankfully, he took the right road and made alot of honest bucks instead of mafia blood money.

The "hit" was a success. The guy died two days ago. He was hit in the chest and head and was in a coma. Last week they took him off life support. The victim, Vincent DeVito was also into a little extortion at one time. He was in the waste management business. His son-in-law Daniel Pagano is now serving time for a gasoline tax evasion scam. Daniels' father was a soldier in the Genovese family.
