That new show on A&E "Growing up Gotti" is the worst disgrace of a name I have ever seen. His grandsons are spoiled, screaming, disrespectful little shits. If he was still alive (God rest his soul) he would knock the Sicilian right outta those punks. Also, he wouldn't have a TV show on national TV that is nothing more than an exploitation of an honorable family's name. Shame on you, Victoria and sons. You are breaking the rule of omerta.

I agree that show is filth. It's disrepectful to the Gotti name.

Did I just see a really good send-up of Growing Up Gotti on Saturday Night Live last weekend? (...and a walk-on by James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano...)

Yeah, they are not sicilian at all. In the movie "Gotti" there is a scene which an FBI Agent tells the rest of the agents that Gotti is Neapolitan. Also, Gotti calls Castellano 'an incompetent sicilian ass.'

i don't know about how good or bad this show is, but did anyone see the one episode where they went to the hotel, i forget where, and they played a practical joke on the one guy, and when all the kids got caught by hotel security, they blamed the one guy who was supposed to be chapperoning them (sorry i dont remember any names here.)
anyway, Victoria then had the one guy call him up and act like he was Peter Gotti, her brother, who, at the time, was the Boss of the Gambino family. I thought it was really funny that they were showing this guy get threatened by who he thought was the Boss of the Gambino family on national television. the look on his face made me crack up.

John Gotti was Neopolitan, not Sicilian, but basically all of the southern half of Italy... and a lot of the north outside of Rome and the Vatican, are the same people... so that detail isn't very important.
The "Gotti kids" aren't Gottis, and they sure as hell don't act like Italians.

So, hold on, are the kids from Growing Up Gotti direct desendents of John or not? And if they are, the look a little old to be John's grandson and they definately aren't his sons.
