What if there was a GF4? It would be kinda cool. It could show how Vincent is running the family since everybody is gone. I really don't know if Connie's dead. Or what would be even better if everybody like Vito, Sonny, Micheal, and everybody else could come back for a scene I don't know what about. But I think a GF4 could work and then again it couldn't cause it will be missing some elements. Sometimes you just can't go over board because some things aren't meant to be.

Well is Coppola ever runs out of cash, and needs for sure hit film, then he can promote a GF4. Im positive that half the world would be interested in seeing that....

The idea of a Godfather part IV doesn't apeal to me because I feel that each of the films seamed to step down a notch the godfather was Sheer BRILLIANCE, part two was excellent, but I cannot say I was very happy with the Godfahter III. Athought still a good film, to me the plot was watered down and it was clearly evident that it was more Coppola's writing than Puzo's. It also annoyed me in the way which he made Michael seem as thought he was never really a strong person throughout the "Mafia" and it portrayed him more as a mouthy businessman man rather than one of the most powerful men in the world. I also found that the acting was not as good either, not from Shire or Pacino but more from Sofia Coppola who was, although one of the most talented directors of her times, a very wooden actor as was Diane Keaton.

This aside, the godfather IV appeal to me in a way because I would love to see more about the corleone family.

Brilliant, MFM, simply brilliant. Maybe the movie can start with Michael going into a coma, and then we follow his dreams. The talk with Vito, also there'll be a wild west dream, a Fredo makes it big in Hollywood, and a Sonny-Michael mind-transfer sequence. I can smell all the Academy Awards already.

By the lost years he means the years between the flashbacks in part II and the beginning of part I. I think.

Also, it could mean the time between Mary's death and Mike's slip from the chair. Is it a "must" that Mary should die from that shot? Couldn't she have got into a Coma or something (resulting from the shot being into some vital organs)? Any medical people here to answer this?

From everything thats been said here,it really wouldnt have to be a movie.Its as most people said just "Godfather:The Lost years."That way we can have chapters that are separated which can tell us Don Vito between when he got on the train and GF1,then between GF2 and GF3,between Mary and when Michael dies,after GF3,and anything I have left out.
