Al Pacino as Micheal Corleone(old) Joaquin Pheonix as Micheal Corleone(young) Scott Caan as Sonny Corleone Giovanni Ribisi as Fredo Corleone Cameron Diaz as Kay Adams Eliza Dushku as Connie Corleone Robert DeNiro as Don Vito Corleone Tobey McGuire as Tom "Tommy" Hagen Ben Affleck as Peter Clemenza
It is somewhere around the 30's-40's,the Corleone children are now getting into the "family business", Micheal is seeing Kay but there isn't any real romance yet. Sonny is wanted for murder but he get's away scot free. Fredo is just Fredo. If you guy's have any suggestion's please reply.
It's not personal, it's strictly business-Al Pacino/Godfather 1

The thing is, if there was a gf IV, which i would love there to be, the flashback bits about sonny, if they have them, would have to be set when he was making his bones, when he was about 19. this would Tom the same age, with mikey about 15, and fredo in between, connie would be early teens. So this is the kind of ages you're looking at for the cast, obviously you can get away with a little either way. Kay wouldn't be in it. And another thing how can ben affleck play clemenza, he's the same age as the person playing sonny would be, yet he's playing someone a generation older, not to mention that ben affleck is probably younger than bruno Kirkby was in part II, when sonny was only a child.

I agree with Take the Cannolies. I think James Gandolfini would be great as Clemenza. Tobey Macguire as a young Tom Hagen doesn't sound too appealing - not sure what Robert Duvall would make of that. We also need to come up with someone to play a relatively young Tessio-could Ray Liotta pull that off? BTW: This is a really interesting thread. --
