In season 1 there are many references to Tony's father, but no mention of how he died. So did Junior take over when Tony's father passed away, since they were both in the same gang/group

I'm thinking I read in a Sopranos guide that Tony's dad had cancer, but I could be wrong. I believe Jackie Aprile's father then took over, but was incarcerated, so Jackie ran the show. Uncle June didn't get the throne until Jackie died of cancer (and even then, Tony was actually running things).

As far as The Master (i.e., Bruce), if men could be gods.... Seriously, he's been a real inspiration in my life, ever since I was a lil' snake.

Snake, I encourage you to learn or at least experiment with a few lessons of Shaolin Wing Chun Kung-Fu ( The style Bruce Lee learnt ( But never mastered. ( He never finished his Kung-Fu training. ), it is simple to learn ( But like everything requires dedication, and continued practice. ) yet very lethal, so it is incredibly deadly at its highest levels.

I appreciate your suggestion, GP, but I tend to cling to Bruce's over all philosophy: "No way is way." Although, to be sure, there is something to be gleaned from every technique.

Thanks, Don Goku...nuggets of wisdom in that little book, no doubt. What I really liked about it was Linda Lee's introduction/foreword where she encourages the readers to toss the book once they've read it. Undoubtedly, that's just what Bruce would've demanded. Why? Because one could become enslaved by the techniques alluded to in the book, the very thing Bruce preached against. Naturally, I still have mine ....but more so for his spiritual insights than for the fighting techniques he outlines (although the two go hand-in-hand).

They're right though emphysema is a type of lung cancer.

Incorrect; emphysema is not lung cancer. You get emphysema when the lung tissue has been altered and you’re not able to breathe properly. This is a common disease for those who smoke, like Johnny Boy. It causes the lungs to be less flexible. Lung cancer, on the other hand, is related to cigarette smoking but it is characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung.

Thats it right there... I do wish they did more about back in the day of Uncle June and Johnny Boy, and even more flashbacks to when DeMeo ran it and even when Jackie was acting boss.....
