What good was it to cut off Ralphies head and hands before throwing the rest of the body in the river? I mean if the cops found that body, I think they would have enough DNA equipment to figure out who it was without the other parts of the body. Not to mention Tony and Chris but the bowling bag in a place that would be easier to find than the bottom of a river/lake.

No matter, that is still one of my favorite episodes.

Yeah, I have a nagging feeling that Ralphie's head and hands will be found by somebody, and it'll come back to bite Tony in the ass in the future!

Perhaps, without the head, which may be less likely found, I don't know, they wouldn't be able to check dental records, which can be a positive identification from what I understand.

Too, maybe it was simply to confuse the police when/if they do find the body, making them have to figure where he was killed with one part of the body one place, and another part in another place. The more time that passes after a crime, usually makes it less likely to solve I think.

your right they would have DNA etc, but wat could they compare it too, they dont have records of peoples DNA, so it could be anyones body without the head and hands(for fingerprints)

I'm assuming that when you are arrested along with taking your finger prints they may take DNA from your hair. We all know that Ralphie must of been picked up before so if what I just said is true, they would have DNA from his hair. Thus, they would be able to match it up with body hair on the corpse.

yes but we dont know if he was or not. assuming that they didnt then gettin rid of head and hands would make for perfect murder.

I know you are fingerprinted when you are arrested, but not so sure that they take DNA.

However, if they were to find Ralphie's head, and assuming he went to a dentist at some point, all they'd need are dental records.

If I am not mistaken, as far as DNA goes, you can get it from a hair brush and I would guess a toothbrush or some other similar item.

My guess, and what do I know :p is that they will find "part" of Ralphie .
I say this because in one of the links someone posted, it said it was possible Ralphie would be back (I imagine in flashbacks). Plus, that was such an awesomely freaky, great murder scene, they have to pursue it to an extent. Don't ya think?
