Don's personal bodyguard -- Luca Brasi
Underboss -- Paulie Cicero (goodfellas)
Consiglari -- Tom Hagen (extremely smart man)
War-Time Consiglari -- Vito Corleone (He might not lean towards the violent side of things, but hes extremely wise, calms Michael considerably(for example their last talk in GF1) and Tom Hagen is often said not to be a war time consiglari)
Capo -- Tony Soprano
Soldier -- Nicky Santoro (knows how to earn well)
Soldier -- Christopher Multisanti (loyal to Tony)
Soldier -- Paulie Walnuts
Soldier -- Patsy Parisi

I tried to build a family of strong earners, and people that do what they do best, and also the strong factor where personalities colliding in the crews, for example you wouldnt want Richie Aprile or Ralphie in the same crew as tony soprano, or joey zaza with vincent..

Vito Corleone was a wise don, but its obvious at the end of GF who is his successor, and its obvious throughout number 2 who made the family the strongest crime organization in united states as well as the world probably, thats something vito never did, he did not have the will to take out the heads of the other families, so Vito may be wiser than michael, but michael is much more of a bussinessman and knows how to make the profits.

i know im late with this but he is right about tony montana plus he has a hot temper and he is just a ticking time bomb hes better as a soldier or with the drug business and he would have you dead if you like that as your family you better treat him right and pamper him
