I wish that FFC kept the alternative opening rather than the now Lake Tahoe cut to NYC. The dialogue b/w the archduke and Michael was so rich and awesome! It also clarified why they bestow the Papal honors to Michael.

I did like how it scrolled back to Michael.A great rememberance to Part1.

Yeah, for those reasons thats a good scene, but it doesn't convey what the movie was really about. Plus, I don't think anyone's attention spans would be long long enough (in this MTV age) to have something like in the beginning of a movie.

The beginning they used was alot better then the original opening. It shows that is less about the mob and its dealings and more about Michael's blood family. tongue
