Hi, for those of you who care, just some interesting notes on tonite's episode... first off, the humble moderator of this message board and myself had the pleasure of eating at the "Italianissimo" restaurant in Caldwell... looks like they changed the outside sign with special effects, but that was definitely the inside.
Also, "Don Giovanni" is actually Don Pepe in Pine Brook, NJ -- its actually a Castillian (Spanish) restaurant, but yes, the outside and inside was in fact that of Don Pepe. So any of you searching to eat there, just remember, while there may be a zillion don giovanni restaurants in NJ, the one they featured is NOT Don Giovani and NOT italian.
As for "Il Conilio", that was funny, I knew the second artie shot the rabbit, he was going to cook it, in Sicily, they hunt "conilio" (rabbit, which is really not rabbit like we have here, they are more like scrawny miniature kangaroo-looking things, NOT the cute, furry cuddly things), that rabbit he shot looked more like a hare than a rabbit anyway... (and closer to what you would find in sicily. And yes, for those of you who want to know, it is a lot like chicken, the cooked meat is white and its a pretty lean animal... we would have to smoke them out of their holes and then hunt them shotguns (smaller guage)...
Lastly, it was a pretty entertaining episode, and the thing that made it most comical was the whole "free gifts" thing... you know, as my father once said, you can take the boy out of newark, but you cannot take the newark out of the boy... such was the case with chris... he is supposed to be acting like a professional, and rather than hound kingsly about a project, he shows his classlessness by hounding him about the free presents, which, in the end, proved to be a bunch of useless things as Tony illustrated... again, showing the inner thug, punching out a legend like bacall just for a basket of BS, just shows the small-minded mentality of a common theif... which is a shame, because I think a whole storyline/season/spinoff could happen for Chris, but in this light, they make him out to be a starstruck moron, so its not logical that he would ever get to that point if he continues to approach celebs in this manner...
Peace out from Caldwell...

I noticed the same thing last time they used this location in a scene -- it seems the sign was lit bigger than it appears in real life. In fact, wasn't it green last time? I don't recall... Here's how it looked in September 2002 when we went... Here's the table we sat at in '02, coincidently, the same table Tony et al. were sitting at for a scene:

Wow cool you still have those pix, i remember that day very well for a few reasons, naturally of course cause you finally got your @$$ up here, but there were other things about that day i remember... thanx for reposting the pix... and if you click on your Sept 2002 -- you will see where meadow ran across the street, most of it is cut off but that is the "Nori" japanese restaurant that appeared in the first few episodes of this season... but if you plan to visit, bring your own sake, they don't have a liquor license like they portrayed in the show...
Across from that used to be "Positano" which is now a different italian restaurant, but one morning James Gandolfini was in there getting a coffee... and another scene was shot in there...

I see I was right... in '02 the Italianissimo sign was made green for the show, this season they used red... Doh!

Not sure if i should hit up the italian place across the street from Nori (where meadow ran across the street and almost got hit by the "29" bus into NYC) or to eat at italianissmo, never ate at the other italian place so may have to give it a try for the last year of my 30s ;-P

This week's episode landmarks would include the East Hanover Police Department, i recognize the cop cars, and, while I do not know of any sanitariums in that area, they are usually in suburban places on the outskirts of that town... plus, east hanover is less than 10 miles from the caldwells... this may not be interesting to some/most of you, but since i live in this area, i do find it fun... hope you do too.

Do you think the NH scenes are really filmed in NH, or NW NJ, PA or NYS or ? I didn't pay attention to the credits...
