Does anyone else want the Sopranos to end as much as I do. I hate wasting my Sunday nights watching that garbage of a show. It used to be great but the last 2 seasons are crap. I cant help it though! It seems evey Sunday night I have to watch it! I cant wait for it to be over so I dont have to waste my Sunday nights watching it.

DS

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.

I think it gets better and better. More sophisticated, more mature, less of a genre show and more of a fascinating experience, even more of a character study.

I think it's latter two seasons have been grossly misunderstood.

Series 6 which has finally started here in the UK shows great promise as usual!
I think the show just gets better and better.

I haven't spoken for a while...but here I go... I'm looking forward to the end of the show for the reason that I think Chase himself has gotten bored of it. That would explain to me the long stretches between seasons and the very plodding pace as of recent. I love these characters, but I'm ready for some closure.

Deadwood on the other hand..DAMMIT, I wanted another couple of seasons, nuff said!

I'd call the "plodding" pace methodic. I love it.

I don't know how much closure we're going to get. Chase took the series in so many different directions, I don't think he can wrap it all up in half a season. He wasted almost half a season last season on soap opera BS, and gay nonsense. Now he has 8 episodes to resolve all Tony's issues with his family, crew, Gov't, and New York. It isn't going to happen.

Umm...then don't watch it.

I thought last season was for the most part, pretty good.

Hey, how's it going?

I just think that after the 2nd season it went down hill. It turned into a soap opera.

Soap operas don't focus on human relations with such eomotional power.

I wish soap operas were as psychologically resonant as The Sopranos.

The real question is does Chase end the series with Tony going to jail for life or getting whacked ?

That slag Tony Soprano is takin' a right liberty comin' North of the river firm handed. I'll cut the slag to ribbons if he comes on my manor an' all of his captains an' all of his men won't be able to put his face back together again if he thinks he can mug me off. An' if that don't do it e'll get wot Cornell got.
