fifa football 2005 is the best game avaliable at the moment for ps2.all roung game play is brilliant.

The best sports games in my opinion (and don't laugh) is the Wrestlemania games for the SNES. Those games are raw and vintage .

Patchie - have you tried any of the new PS2 ones? They certainly do own a 2D version of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, and crappy MIDI music.

Aww Double-J How can I resist playing Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels? J/K. I have played one of the Smackdown games, I don't remember which one it was. It didn't last very long because my oldest brother (who is 24) tried to beat me up when I beat him, just like he did when we played with the old SNES. Some things never change .

FIFA is shit compared to Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer (I think it is called Winning Eleven over there). Pro Evolution Soccer 3, last year's version, is the best fucking sports game I ever played (well NHL 95 and 98 was very good too). FIFA isn't real soccer, it's more of an arcade game and most games end 15-3 or something like that. PES is much more realistic and guess what - you can even play defensive soccer in it! The new version also have licenses from La Liga, Serie A and Eredivisie!

I am not buying EA Sports' games anymore, I'm done. I've given them so much money throughout the years, and gotten unfinished and buggy products back. In the future I will download their games (except Tiger Woods perhaps, coz it seems to be very good) and I hope that it will hurt their monopoly a little. PES4 I will buy next month when it is released for the PC.

The best IMO gots to be NCAA Football 2005 and Madden NFL 2005.
