I cannot wait until Opening Day. With Barry Bonds out of the lineup and a weakened Dodger tea,, my Padres have a golden opportunity to take hold of the NL West early. In my mind Baseball's Opening Day is 2nd to none in the world of sports. There is just something special about it that I cannot quite explain.

I'm sick of Peter Angelos and his thin pockets. His golden boy Ponson has been lowered to 4th position. (If only he could throw a pitch like he can throw a punch). You can have all the Sosa's, Tejada's and Palmeiro's you want. They don't do you much good when you're pitching gives up like 10 runs.
How about a little less questions and a lot more shut the hell up - Brian Griffin

Exactly, that's their down fall. As for the Yanks, I heard the starting rotation's gonna be Johnson, Pavano, Mussina, then Brown (they're gonna skip Wright's first start so he won't pitch until the 15th). As for the lineup, I only heard that Torre confirmed that his 1-2-3 hitters would be Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Gary Sheffield! I guess Matsui will bat 4 and Womack 9 when he comes back.

Here's another interesting article that I found that might interest some of you as well! It says that Ken Griffey Jr. could possbily be a Yankee . What I didn't know is that he had a grudge against the organization and I think that's part of the reason why he didn't go there after he left Seattle
