For those who don't know, I play bass in a funk-rock band called Aeroplasty. We've been playing in local clubs and venues for a little over a year now... Anyways, we managed to round up a video recording of one of our more recent shows... A battle of the bands to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Basically, we made intentional asses of ourselves. I performed in a skirt and nothing else, we covered a Spice Girls song, and on stage antics were utterly bizarre as always... And what's funny is, we tied for first place! The other band is PISSED. hahahahaha Anyways, here's the video. Enjoy! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1062389851522973072I'd love to get some feedback, if you're not all left speechless in the midst of the confusion.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

Thank you, guys. Yeah, Jake, my guitarist, is fucking excellent. Best guitarist I've ever had the chance to meet.
The lyrics are a bit muffled at times... Crappy hand-held camcorder mircrophones. Although, they seem to become more audible on in the last three or four songs.

Yeah. The attendence counted up to almost 100, when we tallied up how much we had made on ticket sales at the end of the night. You catch a few glimpses of the crowd, but he mainly focuses on us. The music drowned alot of the crowd action out.
There is one part where they start to chant "hey" along with Jake, our guitarist/singer though.(and it's insanely cool to me)

At this one show we did a while back, some fat kid in a Social Distortion shirt came up and gave me a big sweaty hug and told me he had never danced like that before, if that counts.

Thank you, Geoff, SVSG, and anyone else who liked it.

You know what? Fuck art in all its forms. I'm going back to my street corner to sell my body for hardcore drugs, so fuck you, Mick.
So, our three o'clock is still on, no?

I don't believe so. I could bring a copy to our three o'clock...

Not my type of music, but you've got a lot of energy, which goes a long way!
I've only played a few live shows myself with another buddy of mine. I play Guitar, Piano, Harmonica, Ukulele, and Bongo drums and he plays Guitar. It's a lot of fun to switch around on the instruments so you never get bored/burnt-out of one during a show. I play more of a Piano-driven Zevon/Dylan type of rock and roll.
Note: There is no better way to excite a crowd of people than by jumping onto a piano and pumping out "Great Balls of Fire" in the style of Jerry Lee Lewis. I've been learning Boogie-Woogie and Ragtime style on the piano and it's impossible to have an audience not tapping their feet! The music still resonates today!
The Doc
And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

I do a WICKED "Born to be Wild" at karaoke. Okay, yeah, I've also sung it on stage w/ my friends' band a few times. Quite amazing how the "showmanship" comes out when you're on stage, cuz normally I'm *VERY* laid back! But gimme a mic (and a couple drinks), and I'll be jumping around!!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Nice, Turi. Any old recordings laying around? What was your sound like? You've got me interested.

Great job, LLC! You've got great showmanship. I join Turi in the "failed rockstar" boat. We had a great group of musicians in my old band...but none of them were committed. You gotta great thing going there, man. Keep it up!

Yeah, we're all afraid of the sun in Upstate New York.
I can't say we've won any other contests, but we've only done two competition-formatted shows... We've done a handful on casual, "everyone is a winner" type show. I'm personally surprised we won this one. I was certain we would permanently emotionally scar the judges.
