A lady I work with adores 'Black Friday'. She described how she gets up a 2am, meets up with her sister & cousin then they all have breakfast at the 24/7 Int'l House of Pancakes before getting on line at the mall.

Apple the day was just wonderful! There should be a law, way to much food. The meal was great as always, but it is the extras that get to you, The chips, the dips, the shrimp, the cakes, the pies, the nuts, the cookies, the candies and all the drinks. So much, everywhere around the house. Just to much.

The old man did a mean job carving up the bird once again and the
ladies set the table fit for a king. But the best part was the family all together. Telling stories and remembering all the good times. Laughing so hard that tears ran down our faces.

And before you knew it, the night was over. The food was put away, the dishes were done and the house looked as spotless as ever. Not a harsh word was spoken, no one got upset and the hugs and kisses with promises of next months big event filled the room as everyone left for their homes.
Pop and I had listened to the girls planning their big shopping spree for the day. Attacking this store and that one. They had lists that seem like a mile long. The mall opened at 4AM! and the stores where opening at 5:00AM! We just laughed and told them we would be heading out to work at 8:00 to have a good time and if they could, to be so kind as to not wake us. We could get our own breakfast.
The bad part is that we are all working this morning, the rest of the city seems to be off and out shopping. With a couple of sets of calling hours going on today and tonight and two funerals on Saturday. It doesn't leave much of a long holiday weekend for pop and I. We were just grateful for a quite day yesterday, no one needed our services, which always makes us happy on these kind of special days.

I guess I said enough. I hope you and the little one enjoyed your family get together as much as we did. As my mom said yesterday the kids grow up so quickly, they are gone and on their own before you can turn around.
