While death is not such a funny thing, it would be funny if DJ proves to be dead. Not in that he's dead. In that 75%-plus of the people in this thread would look like wretched little bastards.
For all I know, DJ really could be alive and well, but it's a tad rude to assume, "Well, he left on a sour note. Let's just erase the poor bastard from the existance of this forum without a farewell!"
Again, he could be very much so in poor health, or worse--in which case, I give my blessings--or he could be alive and well, indulging in a pornographic film and a bag of tostito's... But seriously, who is to be the asshole to just come along and wank on the bloke's possibly-legitimate RIP thread? It's all fair game. 50/50.

We post our thoughts when we can. Three posts of your thoughts in this topic already, and we don't even know if the guy is really dead. Yet not a peep over in the other topic giving tribute to someone who actually did pass away. Don Cardi Now I have heard everything. You have the fuckin nerve to say this to or about me. Who do you think you are. Your MOD title is going to your head. I don't need to post on a shrine thread to please anyone! I didn't need to wave a flag for all to see just to make points with anyone. I PMed those who I felt needed my words, and that included Paul before his passing and a few others after he passed. Cardi you stepped over the line this time. Stop looking to pick apart certain posters, your killing the boards with your crap. You would notice that if you listen once in a while instead of mocking others.

with MIGs getting darn right insulting to the thread starter. Yes I did insult MJ if this is just a hoax. And I told the mod's to ban me if they wanted to. Sorry Mig, I just didn't understand why you had to say that kind of thing even IF . and I don't think that any of the mods would ban little old Mother MIG.

As if this isn't clear enough anyway: Recently, JJ was hospitalized. Double-J: may you serve us better from above, smile on from heaven It hurts really bad to lose a friend, especially so young. People, what do you think Johnny is referring to? Are people actually asking Mad Johnny if JJ is ok after he posts this? What do you think?
Hey, how's it going?

Is JJ dead? Why has Mad Johnny not responded? Please, everyone, forget your lame arguments until we can get this answered. I, for one, hope he's ok. From my knowlegde, he was young, and it's a tragedy when people die young; whether it be from car accident or sickness.
Please Johnny, inform us. What has happened?

Dead? Not quite. I don't think they can kill me that easy. My apologies for all of this confusion - however, I think that much of this could have been avoided. The truth of the matter is that I do really know Mad Johnny in real life. And I was convalescing shortly after the beginning of my Thanksgiving absence. And he did come to see me. However, there wasn't any hospital ( ), and I wasn't deathly ill. It was the flu...I'm not sure what happened here. I spoke to MJ on the phone after our mutual banning last week, and had basically told him that I was going to leave the boards. When he came over to see me, he tried to persuade me to come back (much like all of the emails and well-wishes I've received...which were quite confusing until I checked this board) but I refused. I think his signature was initially supposed to be a little homage to me or something, but clearly it was inappropriate since I'm (naturally) quite fine and able bodied. In actually, if anyone had the real potential of being seriously injured, it was MJ...he had recently been in an auto accident. From what I discussed with MJ today on the phone, he seemed to think that it was his responsibility to convince the boards that I was going to be "gone for good," and he clearly embellished to make his point. Again, that really is me in the photo (albeit from about 6 or 7 years ago, with bleached hair). I sincerely apologize for any misconceptions because of what happened. I never intended my leaving these boards to be anything other than private between myself and the few people I talk to outside of the forum. I am quite sheepish after all of the well-wishing and emotion expressed in this thread because of me, since I was basically fine. The bottom line with regards to all of this is that I am most certainly not dead (at least according to my pulse), but I don't think I will be sticking around these boards any longer. I sincerely apologize for any misconception that was brought about because of this - again, I have spoken to Mad Johnny and made it clear that he should have not lead people on with regards to my "demise," as it were; I hope that you will take this into account with regards to his actions. He should have obviously told people straight away that I wasn't "gone," in the permanent sense. I hope that you don't respond too harshly with him; he was simply angry that I was leaving after last weeks incident, and felt vindicated enough to post this thread. Again, I'm not sure what else I can say, other than that I am NOT dead, and didn't intend for this whole thing to be blown out of proportion the way it is, especially in light of Plaw's recent passing. Rest assured, I'm alive and well. "Turn me on, dead man," Double-J

DJ, Thank you for posting. What a wild thread this turned out to be. I am certainly glad that you are in good health. Well, I know the flu can be bad, but I imagined one foot in the grave. I hope you reconsider and stick around, but am so happy you replied and didn't leave us all hanging. Take care of yourself DJ!! TIS

I see that, and again, I'm sorry. If anyone here sent me an email and I didn't reply, let me know, because I know I tried to explain to everyone what happened after I saw this thread tonight. With regards to the flu, that's what you get when you have relatives that work for the local school district - anything they get seems to spread through the entire household like a plague, even with my can of Lysol disinfectant at my side... Again, my sincerest apologies SB, DA, and Miggy, and thanks for your concern.

In the words of Vito Corleone: "How did things ever get so far?"Double-J, I am glad to hear you are alive and well. I am one of those eternal semi-optimists (on the BB, anyway) who would like to think there is a way for all our differences of opinion here to be dealt with in a mature and respectful fashion. Yes, I know, it doesn't always happen. I, personally, would not like to see you leave the Boards. I will say again, as I did earlier in this thread, that I feel nobody here would want to see physical harm come to another member. However, after reflecting on what Mad Johnny has done, I may be forced to amend that statement. Signor V.

Thanks for your kind words, SV, but I hope that you guys won't be too hard on MJ. From what he's told me, he was more angry with himself over the fact that I was banned sticking my neck out for him. I'm not going to make excuses for him, since it wasn't right that people here were misled (in such a morbid way, especially), but I'm glad we've all got it sorted out now. Regards, DJ

To lighten the mood a bit, is this something like the "Paul Is Dead" craze? If you read the thread backwards I believe that's what it says, only DJ. TIS

What exactly was DJ suspended for in the first place?
BTW, funny how by a vague post delivered by MadJohnny, this joint went total apeshit. If memory serves, asking why Mad Johnny was suspended.

Hot damn! Was that fun in a really sick, morally corrupt way, or what?
Good to see you're perfectly fine.

I agree completely with Signor Vitelli. There is nothing clever, cute or original about this demented stunt. It reflects an immature and ill mind. This is my first post in this thread although I read the original post and a few responses this afternoon at work. Yes, from Johnny's self-indulgent, whiny introduction, I had my doubts about the authenticity of his claim. Also, his representation that he was too distraught to post sounded disengenous, but part of me felt that even he wouldn't mislead us on such a grave matter. Anyway, he deliberately perpetrated a cruel fraud on the board, and his credibility is shot. The truth from a liar is not to be believed.

Oh my! Have you all been fooled... I've been reading this thread from the beginning sensing something fishy, and if there aren't some bans handed out here I will be surprised at the foolishness of the moderators.
At the same time I have to say... BRAVO! Mad Johnny, Double-J, and Fathersson! I'm impressed at how well your prank has gone! Starting with Mad Johnny's controversial messages, followed by Fathersson's defense of Mad Johnny (oh the controversy thickens!) and finally, after many "Oh no! Is Double-J dead!?"'s and "This had better not be a joke MJ!"'s, that sets up the perfect timing of Double-J coming back and saying "Oh I'm not dead!" while at the same time covering up for Mad Johnny's first post that would surely lead to another ban. Well done!
You guys pulled the old forum prankster sting operation by sending in the obvious trouble maker (Mad Johhny) to get everyone riled up, then having a third party (Fathersson) defend him so that he doesn't look like a COMPLETE prankster, and then ending with the topic (Double-J) miraculously coming into the picture with all sorts of explanations. The result? A completely effective disruption of the forums and amazing abilty to walk away squeaky clean.
Congrautlations "Gangster BB Brat Pack"! You have effectively screwed with the emotions of the few left in this forum community! I have to say I love the signatures and even more specifically the avatar Double-J!
Of course, the natural prankster responses will be for all three to get upset when they read this post in order to prove their innocence. In fact I would expect Mad Johhny and Fathersson to act insulted because they were only talking about a "lost friend" or defending one who was supposedly a caring person, while Double-J on the other hand will probably use his post count as credibility to further deceive the regulars on this board.

Lets see, what did Mr. MadJohnny say exactly:
"Because a certain member seems bent on being unreasonable about this, I'm starting a thread. I apologize to those who didn't want me to start a thread. I really am.
Double-J was my friend since high school. We were both in Model United Nations together and that's how I really got to know the guy.
I'm sorry I can't really talk about it right now, its so upsetting. I was just afraid people wouldn't take it seriously and mock it all out. It hurts really bad to lose a friend, especially so young. Its like having part of you torn down "
----------------------
Again, very vague and suggestive, but he doesn't say anything.
When I read the first post, I knew MadJohnny wasn't serious. When hes emotional, or usually, pissed about something, he doesn't construct his words such he did for this thread. Hes always straight forward. Go back and read his posts about Bush.
If anything, I blame people fooled by MadJohnny for taking it for granted without thinking about it. I mean, even those that hate MJ seem to have forgotten his history.
I'm sorry, but its like that guy who falls for the easiest and ancient prank phone calls in the world: How can I feel sorry for them?
Besides, I doubt DJ is seriously upset about all this. Right?

I wouldn't rule out the fact the Double-J was involved with all this. I mean if you REALLY think about it, it's all too convenient for Mad Johnny to post this topic while DJ is away from the message boards. All I'm saying is look into this deeply... Mad Johnny isn't the only culprit here.
