-Hemingway Novels
And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

I got a rock.(J/K) Signor V.
"For me, there's only my wife..."
"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"
"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"
"It was a grass harp... And we listened."
"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"
"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

Ton of shit. First time in two years that I didn't just one highly expensive present.
-Creative Zen:M 30 GB (I had wanted a 60 GB, but my mother was told it "makes noise"... what ever the hell that means... She offered to send it back in exchange for the 60, but I don't know if I will. I'm far too lazy)
-The remastered edition CD of RHCP's "Freaky Styley"... I couldn't find it anywhere here in the 'burbs. I finally own real, non-pirated copies of all their albums. Hoo-rah!
-RHCP's Off the Map, live DVD
-You know those Vans checker-pattern slip-on shoes? I got a pair with white and lime green checks on them. I love them... They're so obnoxiously bright, loud, and funky. Lime green is the best color in the history of the world.
-Quite a few kick'n t-shirts... About four or five. One Radiohead shirt, one RHCP shirt, one Sublime shirt, two Pink Floyd shirts... And I may be forgetting one.
-Two pairs of pajama bottoms. Good thing, I only owned one pair previously that fit me. They hadn't been washed in months. What can I say? I'm nasty, and I'm not one to spend money on clothes unless I see something completely goofy and abstract, or it's totally necessary.
-A paperback copy of A Clockwork Orange... One of the best books ever written, in my opinion.
-A paperback copy of Deadeye Dick by Kurt Vonnegut
-A ridiculously large, yet very cool book titled 1001 Movies to See Before You Die. Not only can I use this book to kill and skin a wild animal (it's huge), I can use it to find some great reccomendations.
-Uncensored Director's cut of Spun.
-Additional stocking stuffers/gift cars/money that I am forgetting.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

Beth, I LOVE Season 2! That was the best. In the Shadow of Two Gunmen (Part 1 and 2), 17 People, Josh getting PTSD, meeting Ainsley Hayes, oh, that was the best season! I miss WW!!! Yeah, with the ending of season 1 and then watching the first show this is the show at it's best. The scenes where Toby finds Josh, and the secret service come in and which Hoines away I rewinded and watched over and over again. Another great episode... "Sam's getting his ass kicked by a girl." "Ginger, get the popcorn".

2. The funeral of the homeless soldier (who ended up with Toby Ziegler's coat). It always chokes me up when I see that.
SC...this has to be the best show of all 8 seasons I think. It's so out of character for Toby. And Mrs. Landingham talking about her dead sons, then wanting to go pay her respects with Toby. The final scene with the children's choir singing and then the gun salute at the funeral, it does get you choked up. Mrs. Landingham's funeral is even more gut wrenching. Bartlett stomping his cigarett out and telling God, "You get Hoines". Loved it!

Each year I look forward to my most useless gift. In the past,it was a pair of flannel pajamas (I don't wear pajamas); a winter hat with ear flaps (I'm not Elmer Fudd); a necktie with a picture of a naked woman (I'm not exactly Bob Crane either); and a picture of Shaquille O'Neal (I'm not a big fan of professional basketball).
This year the honor goes to a heated travel mug that plugs into the car lighter. While I spend a lot of time on the road, I don't drink coffee, nor do I usually allow myself time in the morning to make a cup of tea. In the rare event that I bring a cup of tea, I pretty much drink it before it can get cold.
Anyway, I'm grateful for the gift. The person, who bought it, put some thought into the gift, knowing that I travel and such. But as a firm believer in re-gifting, I will likely find a good home for this mug, which is actually pretty nice.

- 24: Season 5 DVD - Apocalypse Now: The Complete Dossier - Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) - Scarface: The World is Yours (PS2) - A HUGE freakin' knife from my Florida grandparents (I keep telling 'em we don't have alligators in Maryland ) - a 1 GB memory stick for my PSP (I wanted a 4 GB...but 1 GB will suffice) - a keyboard stand (which is handy, considering my piano is in the living room. Now when I play my keyboard in my room...I don't have to set it on my lap and induce scoliosis while playing it. - A whole tin full of Ferrero-Rocher chocolates (my absolute favorite) - some money and various stocking stuffers
"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis
