Welcome, Celtic! Glad you enjoyed the novel. Don't let Weingartner disillusion you--stick with the original. how what's that?

I'm new here, too. I only read The Godfather recently, and I thought it was excellent! It's now one of my favourite books. Even though I really liked the movie, the book was way better. There were way more things in the book and the movie hardly explained anything. But, I wouldn't blame them since it was a long book. Well, you said a lot right there. Especially that the book explained a lot of things that the movie didn't. The movie was what it was--the best film ever. But, as you'll see if you stick with these boards, the novel has lots of details that weren't included in the film, and that really add a lot.
