we all know that sonny laid carlos a heavy beating after sonny saw his sister all beat up. in the book puzo wrote that carlos felt himself equal if not stronger then sonny, and the only reason he did not strike back was so that he could live to see another day. what im asking is if it was just the two of them whom do you guys think would win? now don't be bias to sonny, think this through.

Well we all know that Carlo won in the end i.e sonny's shooting. But man to man? I reckon itd be close but Carlo on first viewing does appear very muscly (see the shower scene with Connie) and potentially brutal.
Never take sides with anyone against the family, ever.

in all reality in the movie there are some scenens where carlo looks bigger then sonny, though i do recall that there are scenes where it's vice versa. but what if carlos was to land that one good punch that would knock out sonny.

I'm really not a good judge of who might be stronger, unless one guy is obviously bigger than the other. Of course, I suppose I'd be a little biased toward Sonny, but I think in the case of a physical fight, a quick temper like Sonny's would be an advantage with the adrenelen pumping and all. Of course to most of us Carlo wasn't a likeable character, and seeing him get the s**t beaten out of him somehow seemed like a case of "just desserts". TIS
