It ran only 8 mins over today... what's their problem? lol

I got a DVD recorder for my birthday, set it up and was able to record off of the DVR. But I need to get it into the computer so I can edit the commercials out -- I assume I will be able to as it has firewire ports on it... just not sure if I can read the codec it's encoded in - we'll see... if not, maybe I could rip them from your DVDs...

*whew* The power went out for a minute just after this ended -- I'd've been pissed if the DVR missed the ending, cuz I erased the one I taped 2 years ago!
Next step is to buy a hard drive to devote to all the footage - and then see if I can copy it over directly, digitally. If not, I'm almost certain I can analogly...

I remember well how The Godfather had cuss words editied out by that crappy channel AMC last year -- they left in ALL the R-Rated Violecne---- but no 'bad' words on that f*cked up channel !!

Yeah, it's edited.  Quite unbelievably, since the language on Family Guy and South Park is infinitely "worse" than in The Godfather  But my guess is that there is only the edited version, as it was specifically made for TV...
