As you probably know, the scripts for all three films went through many iterations. I'm sure one of the scripts for GF included the beating of the punks. The scene might even have been filmed. If it was, it was removed, like so many others, to bring the movies down to manageable lengths.

There must be dozens of hours of film from all three "on the cutting room floor"--not just retakes, but entire scenes that were never used, and never included in the deleted scenes spliced into the chronological TV version and the DVD extra disc compilation. I would dearly love to see an inventory of scenes that were filmed and never used. Better yet, I'd like to see all those scenes!

More than any other, I'd have LOVED to have seen Michael personally avenge himself against Fabrizio. Every time I look in Lebo's book and see those stills, I get goosebumps.
