Seriously,what's up with racists?

I'll never understand it.

It's an excess of a biologically perfectly normal phenomenon, namely a build-in fear of all things that don't occur frequently in your life.

The thing that gets me for instance is,some of them feel that they are doing Gods work by killing other,so called"lesser Races".

I posted this thread because i was on the train yesterday and these two old guys where complaining about how Australia is full of Asians now..etc etc.It got me thinking and i seriously don't understand it.I know it began with,other races arriving in countries and the locals where upset and worried they were going to lose their jobs.

Racism exists because the human race comprises of many morons who thrive upon their own pride; for the same reason, nationalism exists. It's all rather pointless to recognize anyone as anything more than a fellow human being, is it not?

racism stared from the murdering of the native americans to bringing the african people to be slaved.

racism exists when someone calls an american whose ancestors are from africa an "african american". the only african americans here are people who were born in africa and moved here. the simple idea of putting african in front of the word keeps the problem going. a person of black skin born in america is an american not an african american, but an american. racism is horrible and will never be completely eliminated.

Reynols, I agree with you completely on the idea of calling someone black African American. What do you call them if they live in England? African English? Kidding?

He's actually passed a law that in Indigenous areas alcohol isn't allowed to be purchased,as though they can't handle it like us white people.

But on the flip side, that would mean less commercialism in indigenous areas, thus preserving it as an indigenous area. And that'd be great... Like America has any actual Native American's left?

The NAACP wasting its time and resources, and its rep (its shoddy as it is) to defend a scumbag like Michael Vick.

Vick has the money and access to buy the best lawyers in the nation to save his ass. Plus, he's a famous athelete.

I say to the NAACP, why not actually help lower/middle class black people that are actually being discriminated upon in the cities...you know, people who can't necessarily fight back against the system.

Vick is a big boy, he could have taken care of himself (except the Feds nailed him hard this side of Christ).

I wouldn't accuse bigotry in this particular situation, because I thought Colletti was referencing the war as well. And why shouldn't I? I denounced nationalism, and he responded with that comment. It's just a misunderstanding. Nothing more.

Holy shit, calling someone an African American isn't racism. Stop being preachy and learn what racism is. Most black people take pride in being called Afro-Americans. It's no different then saying I'm Italian American.

I always thought they would take offense to being called "Afro" Americans.It sounds heaps worse that "African" American.
