JRCX OP SicilianCulture.com Capo Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 341 Caldwell, North Jersey	My Drink du Jour was a Caipirinha -- just get 1 lime, cut into quarters, add 1-2 sugar cubes, muddle, add a double shot of Cachaca, shake with ice, pour all into one glass... cachaca is brazilian rum, but more of an edge like vodka... add mint, and you have a mojito... good for the hot summer days... LOL $\:\)$ BUTT, i came across something in place of simple syrup for things like diaquaris and that is Agave Nectar, its sweeter than sugar but yet has less sucrose content (in other words its better for you), its expensive at $4 for a squirt bottle, but its really sweet, goes a long way and dissolves much better in drinks shaken with ice... I had a Caipirinha with dinner... and yes... Its my fave Pre-dinner drink, glad you included the orange slice, I made one for Geoff one time with a squeeze of lemon but orange is better and there are many innovations like pomegrante liquor, etc.. definitely a clean, pleasing, easy drink to have at anytime...
