I haven't read that in a while. What a great story! I miss these as well. Ten Things I Think I Think... (ala Peter King) 1 - Plaw has make-up sex in 30 minutes. Good Lord, why do I have this unending need to always do the math??? Like Buffy said - TMI!!!! And Paul's prediction for me? He called me "moody". BE: Along with the newbie, the toughest player to figure. Has experience and knows the game, but who knows? Can be moody, and sometimes disappears for long stretches. If she stays with it all season, she could finish as high as third or fourth. On the other hand, it wouldn't be a major surprise if she finished seventh or eighth, either. Prediction: Sixth Odds: 15-1 --------------------

I wish I would have seen this. "Cutest Couple (aka the Pom Poms award): Buffy and Pork, for singing an "Endless Love" duet in the backseat of my car. They were both singing to SC! " I would complain about this thread being taken off topic, but then again, it's MY thread.

I've been interested in this show for sometime now. I haven't seen a show since the friggin Sopranos ended. But this really caught my attention; so can someone give me a "inside look" on the show, and exactly what it's about?

The Plaw and Pork Show or The West Wing?? The West Wing is all about a fictional US President and his staff. It was on for 7 years, and was one of the best-written and best-performed shows on television. I was talking about The West Wing, lmao And thanks for the reply. So its worth buying?

Oh, definitely Season 3, if only for the episode called "100,000 Airplanes". That is one of my favorites.
I also love this speech from Season 4's "20 Hours in America Part II":
"Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive. Forty-four people were killed a couple of hours ago at Kennison State University." Shot of Sam and Bruno in tuxes standing near the back, listening. Then a shot of C.J. in a gorgeous white gown, standing near Charlie, both looking sad. "Three swimmers from the men's team were killed and two others are in critical condition, when, after having heard the explosion from their practice facility, they ran into the fire to help get people out. Ran into the fire. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight. They're our students and our teachers and our parents and our friends. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels but every time we think we've measured our capacity to meet a challenge we look up and we're reminded that that capacity may well be limitless. This is a time for American heroes. We will do what is hard. We will achieve what is great. This is a time for American heroes and we reach for the stars. God bless their memory, God bless you and God bless the United States of America." Standing ovation. Bruno asks Sam, "When did you write that last part?" Sam: "In the car." Bruno hesitates for a moment and says, "Freak."

Once last question, I heard the Seasons on DVD here in North America were Full Screen although the show was broadcast in widescreen, is that true?

Do you know anyone who is, and can let you in?? Sometimes, if you tell them you're a Sam's customer and thinking of joining, they might let you shop for a day.
Well, seeing Jimmy Smits wasn't too hard on the eyes, either. Btw, I read somewhere that Vinick was actually supposed to win, but when John Spencer died, they felt that it would be too much for Smit's character to lose his running mate and then the election, too.

There are so many great moments in WW that I don't know if I can narrow it down, but I think that the quiet moments were some of the best. I love Charlie and his interaction with the President. Charlie was one of the few that could get away with calling Jed out, and he was great at it, like when the President asked him about hiring Ainsley, and Charlie says something about the Republicans being the party of inclusion. Or when he tries to wake the President up after a night of very little sleep and he tells him to pull it together, it wasn't a bad dream, he really is the President of the US. However, I absolutely loved Charlie when POTUS gives him his family carving set that had been made by Paul Revere. Also, there's a scene between the two of them in the series finale which I will NOT spoil for you, but it moved me to tears. And I love badass Charlie in the bar, coming to Zoe's honor, and then telling Josh and Sam afterwards that there were no guys at the bar they could have taken!

Yeah, those are both hilarious and touching moments SB. The one that Charlie schooled that boy that was in big brother program with Agent Donovan was awesome too. I adore CJ. I liked how she would get furious when it came to women's issues in fictional Qumar or Saudi Arabia.

Okay, finally finished the whole series. It's funny that now I read SB and Beth's comment that season 7 was boring for them. The only boring season in my opinion was season 5, which still has great episodes like "The Warfare of Genghis Khan" and "Supremes." But once I started season 6, it was like a good book you can never put down. I must be some sort of election freak, which I know I am. I am pretty much looking like Josh by the "Transition" episode now, sleep deprived and on edge. The characters I most liked: Josh and CJ. The one I least liked: Toby. He would get on my nerves most of the time. At any case, this was one of the best series I've watched. I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the next season of "The Newsroom" now.

Afs, glad you enjoyed! I don't hate 7, I hated 5 and some of 6. The Supremes was an exception, and what a great one! I love Glenn Close as the Chief Justice (who does NOT swear in Santos, btw, guess she was too expensive lol).
The show was great on so many levels. And you dislike Toby??? I FLOVE Toby! He's like a human Eeyore. His scenes are some of my favorites - "Baby's come with hats". I don't like what they did with him towards the end, which may have contributed to my dislike of the last seasons.
I, too, am looking forward to The Newsroom! It's not up to WW standards, but it's way better than most of the dreck that's on TV now.

Yeah, I noticed they showed a blonde woman in robe whose hair positively was noting like something Glenn Close has even worn. She is wonderful. I loved her in "Damages." That was a good show as well. I said the character I least liked was Toby. I don't dislike him, but he is most of the time too much of an asshole as Josh put it. And just like Andy said, he is always gloomy. His character works well in the dynamic of the show, but it wouldn't be the first character I pick as my favorite. With the way he and president were at it at times, I thought what they did with him would be inevitable. BTW, I had no idea that Spencer himself had died. Imagine my shock! And I expected his character's death way sooner, during the first heart attack. So I guess nothing was spoiled for me in the least.
