Cicci is a wonderful example of the casting genius in GF and II (thought not in III, unfortunately). He's very minor character, gets only a handful of lines. But Joe Spinnel was so letter-perfect for the part--the hair, the moustache, the cig, the way he spoke--tht he's unforgettable in that small role. If you do a search here, you'll find that Cicci gets attention from us way out of proportion to his actual screen presene.

He had short lines and not too many, but he created a character with style and flair. I agree, he created a memorable character. But that character didn't have style, that's the point. He's trying to look cool all the time but he just looks a little foolish. In the killing scene in GF, you can see him really enjoying shooting a man. He also seems to enjoy to humiliate Tessio when he frisks him. Scary - yes. But elegant?
