God I wish George W. Bush was aloud to run again. I mean hes the best thing to happen to this country since his father was President!!! As far as Hillary is concerned I would rather piss on her grave than see her in the White House. But as far as Dubya is concerned you gotta be joking.

That said, Senator Clinton's fighting for her political life, and the surrounding fog of desperation is getting thicker and thicker by the minute. I never would have thought this possible a few months ago. I don't know if Obama is doing well or if Hillary self-destructed. It should be interesting to see what happens in Ohio and Texas.

Her anger issues have never been more evident, so Babe, I respectfully disagreee, she's become a very ugly person. Watching her come unglued will be a pleasure. Who's gonna be the poor bastard to tell her it's all over? Obama needn't even win Texas and/or Ohio. As long as he doesn't lose a landslide, which I seriously doubt he will, he'll regain the momentum during the southern swing of primaries. If she had half a brain, or less ego, she'd get out now, on the off chance Obama blows it against McCain. She'd position herself as the frontrunner in 2012. Not that I'd ever vote for her, but still...

Momentum is a result; it is not a cause.
Ah, fooey. She's done.

Not that I'd ever vote for her, but still... If Obama wins the general election, which is not out of the question, she will not be factor in 2012 for obvious reasons. But even if Dinosaur McCain wins, she'll be in her mid-60s and I don't think she would want to run again having lost in 2008. It's now or never - this was her "best" chance going up against a relatively unexperienced candidate.
I'll take you're comment about Bush as some sort of sarcasm.
I really don't think Smitty was being sarcastic about the Bush comment based upon previous posts. The only thing that I can add is THANK GOODNESS there is an end in sight to the Bush presidency. January 2009 cannot be here soon enough for the country and the world.

At least Nader's back in it! He did make one great quote: "If the Democrats don't landslide this year, they may as well fold up the party." He's right.

The allocation of Democratic convention delegates is by Congressional district, not by state. Thus, despite Obama's statewide victories in the primaries, he and Hillary have nearly the same amount of delegates. According to the scorecard right now Obama is leading 1164 to 1014...

That said, Senator Clinton's fighting for her political life I disagree with that. She loses this race so what she goes back to her Senator job correct?

I don't agree that Hillary's campaign is as good as dead. I think that the media have been overstating the gloominess of her prospects. She is within reach in delegates, and remains very viable in the three biggest prizes remaining.
Obama's recent success immediately narrowed her leads in these states, but his tide may recede a little, which is only natural. Never judge a candidate at the zenith of his or her popularity or at the depths of his or her misfortune.
Coming into Super Tuesday, Hillary had a funding disadvantage and was faced with a surging opponent. What many have viewed as resounding Obama victories, she probably viewed as weathering the storm, while she devoted her resources in Texas and Ohio.
I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I respect her immensely on the campaign trail. She is fiercely competitive, and will do whatever is necessary to win the nomination. Her fight is now uphill, but it's not over yet.

From a party perspective. Do you think the Democrats saw Hillary as the best chance for a Democrat to win? If that's the case then the party bosses might be kicking themselves.
I find more & more Democrats, many of whom go back more than the past several months, view Hillary as the worst possible chance for their party to win in November. I know a number of people who feel that the best way to unite the Republicans is to have Hillary as the nominee. I think Hillary is divisive, but not to the point where I would not have voted for her in a general election. I view her as tough enough to stand up to the nastiness thrown at her by the Republicans in her 8 years as First Lady and then as a Senator. As Sicilian Babe has commented, many people would have presumed that the two party nominees would have been Guiliani & Clinton. I think the experience criticism, when argued by the conservatives, is kind of ironic. They cry and moan about Hillary "only" having 8 years in the Senate and Obama with little experience. But if memory serves correct, George Bush was awarded the presidency by the Supreme Court, he brought 5 years of being the Texas governor.
