My own world.
Today I found out my Nonno (Silvano Zanta) passed away. The thing is, he passed away in August last year!!! What happened was there was a falling out between my mother (Priscilla) and my Nonni. Of course I took Mums side as she needed support. Sadly the last time I spoke to my Nonno, we were arguing. Now, what really fucks with my head is, that my Nonna (Sandra) and my two Aunties (Roberta and Manuela) didn't even have the decency to let us know he had died from skin cancer. That's how petty they had become. So we missed out on the funeral and never got to make our peace.

Mum found out today when she called up and all my Nonna said was "He's dead" and hung up the phone. So my younger brother (victor) had to find out for us what happened.

Pathetic.

Sorry to hear that. It's such a shame how people can hold grudges and anger for so long -- especially with family members!

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Tell me about it. Plus, our family is pretty small too.

Very sad. Just proves that anger is like taking poison and hoping the other guy dies from it.

That really sucks. My mom's family is not all that close, but if someone dies we'd all know about it.

I havent't seen my father's family since he died almost 21 years ago. When my father's brother died none of his remaining siblings even went to his funeral. So I probably have relatives on my father's side that I wouldn't know if they're dead or alive. I actually met my father's one brother at my father's funeral.

Whisper, So sorry to hear about it. Even though you weren't able to make peace with them, say a prayer and wish him a peaceful eternity.

It's always a shame when family members fight and argue when everyone knows that human life is so fragile. I'm sorry for your loss Whisper.

Very sad to hear this.

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I really appreciate it. Beth E, I know exactly how you feel.

I feel sorry for my mother though. She's devastated that they never buried the hatchet.

Let me too, add my sympathy Whisper. Losing a loved one is sad, but it sure can weigh heavy on your mind when the loved ones passes before we've had a chance to make amends. It's a matter working through your sorrow I guess.

I'm sorry for your loss. frown

Sounds kind of like my mother's side of the family.

Sorry for your loss.

Once again guys, thank you for the kind words! I truly appreciate it. We have a great bunch of people on these boards and I feel privileged to be a part of it.
