Hey guys, I am currently working on a paper about organized crime in Belgium. In that schoolpaper, I make sort of a comparative study about the way the Italien Cosa Nostra is organized (and how it penetrated the society) and how the Belgian mob is organized. I 've done a lot of research but I am sure there are people on this forum who know much more about the subject than I do. So I would highly appreciate some information about the organized crime in Italy. The way they work, how they entered the political/economical world, how it is structured, ... If you could recommend books, your welcome.
Thanks

You can download a history of the Mafia here: http://www.historyofthemafia.net/dispense%20mafia.pdf
Alexander Stille's "Excellent Cadavers" provides a detailed look at the most recent Mafia outrages in Sicily. Many thanks! I already read Excellent Cadavers. Lots of info from that book is written in my paper.
