After watching Godfather continiously, i still look at some scenes and wonder..

1. Vito says "It was Barzini all along"..
But i want to know where does Barzini come in this situation, Tattaglia is unhappy of Sonny for killing their son, so why did Carlo get approached by Barzini. Why does Barzini want to kill Sonny for?

2. What happened to Clemenza in the end, we never see him. He didn't get killed by Michael did he? Because he was trustworthy all along, unlike Tessio. In Godfather II Frank Pentangeli mentions heart attack (overdose sign of hand) but Cicci said "It was no heart attack" in a way that maybe Michael ordered to hit him?

Thanks smile

Tattaglia was weak. As Vito said, "Tattaglia is a pimp. Alone he could never have outfought Santino." Barzini manipulated Tattaglia, taking advantage of his weakness to make Tattaglia take the risks in the drugs deal and the subsequent war. But all along, Barzini knew he would pick up the pieces. Why did he, not Tattaglia, approach Carlo? Because, at that point in the Five Families War of 1946, Barzini figured that it was time for him to step up in front.
We never learn exactly how Clemenza died. I have to assume that Clemenza died without overt violence, like gunshot wounds. When Cicci said, "that was no heart attack," he probably meant that Clemenza died of some "natural" ailment that was aggravated by his problems with the Rosato brothers.

Thanks bud, i understand what Barzini did now. He played smart and took advantage of Tattaglia vs Corleone situation.

Pity that Clemenza didn't take part in GFII...

No doubt, I would have loved to see ol' fat jolly Clemenza in the second GF. He would have been a pleasent treat with Michael's coldheart.

You mean a pleasent traitor, Joe. If Clemenza was in GF II, no Frankie Five Angels, Clemnza being a traitor instead.

Hey, how's it going?

Clemenza would have never betrayed Michael, and I doubt Michael would have used him as a pawn with Hyman Roth.

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."
