hi,

im new to this forum and just want to say hello to all and thanx for providing a great place to share our thoughts, ideas and meet to discuss this genre of film/television which i like many love very much!

now something i would like cleared up before i try and buy one is what is the difference between the 2 Godfather Trilogy boxsets (VHS)?

there is the one that is from 91-92 and then apparently there is the one which is the 25th anniversary edition from 97.

is the boxset from 97 the only series that comes in a "1 of 6500" production or did both sets have a limited number?

thanx in advance.

kev.

Welcome, Kev!

"The Godfather Trilogy" was the chronological version of GF1/GF2 plus GF3. The originals from the early 90's are not numbered.
.

Don't confused that with "The Godfather Collection" that was also re-released in '97, which contains the 3 films separately (not chronologically), plus other goodies in the Limited Edition version:

There are more details here...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

That green box set, my Sis-in-law gave me a GF set but the box is gold and it has all 3 movies in it.. I found that GF Family movie at a flea market.

If I remember correctly, the green boxes were for widescreen and the gold boxes for full frame...?
