In a van down by the river!

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/heatindex/articles/2009/01/13/20090113p2main0114.html Man, talk about eerie.
A big-time Cardinals fan here at the Dark Tower passed along an online listing for a cool figurine that was released last February.
It's a "Super Bowl XLII: Larry Fitzgerald" limited edition from McFarlane Toys.
And, man, it would really be scary if it had XLIII attached to it.
It captures Larry Fitzgerald, the Cardinals' glue-fingered receiver, in a pose very familiar to anybody who watched the Arizona-Carolina playoff game.
The "prone figure measures 7 1/2 inches from head to toe, and hovers 3 3/4 inches above a 5 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inch custom base," according to its description.
It also has "limited articulation at neck and biceps."
So evidently you can move little Larry's head and arm to make it look even more like the touchdown play, when a soaring Fitzgerald stretches out for the pylon.
It made us wonder whether Todd McFarlane, the Valley-based mogul behind McFarlane Toys and the Spawn franchise, has a psychic on staff.
We ruled that out when we looked at the Anquan Boldin figurine, because it didn't appear to be clutching a hamstring.
Anyway, McFarlane watched the Fitzgerald play unfold Saturday.
"As soon as he did it, I was, 'Wow, that's the play!' " McFarlane said. "I was like Yogi Berra - it's deja vu all over again."
Turns out, the pose was just a creative decision and not based on a past Fitz play.
"Usually we wait for it to happen, we don't do it in reverse and make it happen before it happens," McFarlane cracked. "When we're trying to diversify the number of poses, after a while we have to get creative. Every now and then you see a guy try to break the plane like that.
"So we said, 'Wouldn't it be cool if we had somebody reaching out for the pylon?' It looked cool."
McFarlane, who sells sports and other collectible figurines at McFarlane at WestGate near University of Phoenix Stadium, said he'd love to fill the place with the Fitzgerald figures.
Unfortunately, he's sold virtually all of them (although we found a few on eBay).
"He's a popular guy," McFarlane said of Fitzgerald. "If I find some for the weekend, it will be a nominal amount. With the economy down, unfortunately, people are stuck with a lot of inventory.
"I sure wish that was one that I had the inventory. If I had a warehouse full, I'd have them stacked to the ceiling Sunday."
By the way, that Boldin figurine actually shows him making an over-the-shoulder circus catch.
"If he makes that one big grab, I get to be a soothsayer twice in a row," McFarlane said.
Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.
