Here's a great activity for the whole GBB to join in on! I enjoy going to Songfacts.com for their information and lyrics on various songs and artists, and I just stumbled upon this contest they're having: We've hidden 47 eggs on the site. The answer to each clue below is the name of a song. For example, the answer to "What Bozo weeps" would be the song "Tears Of A Clown." To see if you're right, type the song title into the search box on the left side of this page, click on the song, and look for an egg.
Find as many eggs as you can, then fill in the answers. Whoever finds the most by the end of Easter (April 12), wins a stylish Songfacts T-shirt and gets their name posted with the answers. All answers are the names of songs found on the site. Happy Hunting!http://www.songfacts.com/egghunt.phpNot that a t-shirt is an extremely valuable prize, but I thought it'd be fun for us all to work together to see if we could actually get them all, since I know I couldn't on my own. Whoever wants to can put their email to be listed if we win - I just want to get a bunch right! I put the ones I was able to get in spoilers in case you want to do them all yourselves, but post what you know, and I'll add them in to create a master list. All you have to do is search for the song on the Songfacts site to see if it has an egg - you don't even need to know the artist, so you can even try a wild guess (which kind of spoils the competition, but oh well... haha) Some of them are very cute and clever! -------- Question 1: At the zoo, they play a combination of alligator jazz, lizard blues, and ____. Question 2: What you might see in the insect army. Question 3: A very inexpensive street. Question 4: 747s from 8 1/2 x 11s. Question 5: '50s dance party in the Alps on a foggy day. Question 10: If you really want your son named after a legal term, you might get this. Question 11: The arsonists lied. Question 12: There's no more left, it's going to be _____. Question 13: The Easter Bunny is really pale. Question 14: What you get when you can't think of a name for your pony. Question 15: What the kids saw when Barney the dinosaur fell on them.
