White street gangs have existed in America since the end of the 19th century.After the 2 world wars,different races and ethnicities began to create their own gangs to fight off racist attacks and from ghettonizing their neighborhoods by pushing out drug dealers and prostitution.Nowadays it's the complete opposite.It's mostly blacks and latinos that are dealing drugs to their own kind.During the 50's to early 80's,white street gangs began to counter the growing threat of latinos destroying their neighborhoods.The majority of whites began to move into the suburbs and eventually most big cities in the US became latino/black.My question is are there still predominately white street gangs,in terms of white pride,not full blown 'white power' skinheads?The Gaylords and the Simon City Royals were mostly white,but nowadays they recruit anybody into their ranks.Thanks.
