I don't know of any formal recordings, but, you can see/hear/read/play the GF3 version right here wink

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

The song is the Godfather theme set to lyrics - so obviously, not from a play...

Funny. It doesn't seem to be working for me (the provided link).

Does anyone know of sheet music for "Brucia La Terra"?

I know the guitar tablature is on this site, but I need the sheet music with the melody for someone to play it. It's for a wedding... I can't also ask them to figure it out.

Thank you!!!

The melody is essentially the same as "Speak Softly Love" (The Godfather theme), which I'm sure you can find almost anywhere, including here:

Thanks J Geoff!

I got the "Speak Softly, Love" music... now I just have to enter the guitar tablature into some scoring software, and then figure out those slight differences in the notes of the melody line as sung on Brucia La Terra and type those in as well, and line it all up with the tablature and with the lyrics as well -- for the singer at our wedding. A challenge since I'm only partially musically inclined so it takes me a couple minutes to pick out each note and duration by trial and error, but hey, it's best I can do! This is a big jump start, so thank you.

Gotta have it performed at the wedding! (It's going to be a surprise/present, so I can lead in with the dialogue for a laugh. Some will love it, some will roll their eyes, and the rest will be confused. Very much worth it.)

Thanks -- I got that score, but my problem is figuring out the way it's sung in the Brucia La Terra version... and getting the timing right of those notes along with the guitar tablature and the lyrics.

E.g., below is what I've done so far. I know I have big errors, but I don't seem to have the ear for rhythm to figure it out.

Anyone who happens to have that ear who wants to point out where I've erred, that'd be awesome! I'd be happy to share the compiled work. Thanks.

Harry Connick Jr. did a cool jazzy version of this song on his piano. I'm curious what you think of it since it no longer sounds "Italian" but more jazz. I really like it. This is the only place I could find it so you could hear it.. I'm not sure who the people are in the video:
