Hi Gina, How are you? smile

I went thru the listings and I hope to see a few that I missed the last marathon. To Serve Man is one of my favorites. I might watch again. I still remember seeing that particular episode (for some reason) for the first time and being blown away by the ending. Funny how sometimes these insignificant things remain fresh in our minds.

Thanks for posting....next stop....the Twilight Zone!!!!!

Whether it was 4th of July or last New Year, time flew. It seems like I was just saying that I can't wait to watch a bunch of Twilight Zone episodes because I had never realized there was an annual marathon. Then I posted about how I completely forgot about it. blush

Maybe this year I will actually remember to watch it.

Is "SyFy" the same as "SciFi" channel? If it's the same thing, when and why did they change the spelling?

Well, I just might show up in Jersey, so I hope you're prepared for another guest! Of course it's such a fancy and extravagant affair, I'm sure one more won't hurt. wink And I think you've been saying you're 17 since I was 17, so shouldn't you have aged a tad by now? haha

BL, you better watch them, you scoundrel! I posted this same episode guide on my school Facebook account as a note, so I'm hoping I can force at least one new person to become a fan. smile

SyFy is the same as SciFi - I read that they changed it so that it would be like an official brand for the network, I think. Since "sci-fi" is a genre, that apparently wouldn't work.

I will watch at least a couple of them, I promise. I'm supposed to call in to work tomorrow to find out if I'm working or not. If not, then I might just get up and watch TZ all day.

It's a term of endearment, I promise! Among my friends, we call each other the goofier kinds of names (scoundrel, loon, silly goose, etc.)...for no real reason that I can think of, but I thought I'd try it on you. lol

Hope you get the day off and enjoy yourself, however you spend it!

Blib, I checked online to confirm it, and I believe the ventriloquist becomes the dummy!

This is quite a funny site - you can search based on what the episode was about:
http://www.twilightzone.org/html/tzatv_ef.html
But it seems to have spoilers, so beware.

And this site has video clips of full episodes!

Wonderful news! There are some great ones on tonight - "Time Enough At Last" and "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up" are favorites of mine, and "Little Girl Lost" gives me chills if I watch it alone.

I ended up watching a total of 13 episodes! I hope that partially makes up for my scoundrel ways last year grin

The last four I watched were "Time Enough at Last", "The After Hours", "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up" and "Stopover in a Quiet Town".

I felt so bad for the little guy in "Time Enough at Last"! "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up" reminded me of 12 Angry Men, but with that Twilight Zone twist. I really wasn't expecting that ending!

That completely makes up for your scoundrel ways! You won't be receiving the Fredo Award, for sure. lol

The thing with Time Enough At Last that always bugged me is Burgess Meredith's character never did anything wrong!! I mean, besides reading on the job and irritating his already-wretched wife, what was his vice? TZ is always awesome for teaching bad people a lesson and having good morals, but this one never seemed to serve justice. And like he says at the end, "But that's not fair!"

Gina,

I know what you mean. But you gotta admit, what a typical (and great) TZ ending, with the poor guy losing his glasses. At the time, I didn't see that coming either. Classic TZ.

My parents never liked TZ because of so many strange endings and odd storylines. Me, I think they're great. smile

GINA : Don Geoffy... Don Geoffy... What have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully? Had you invited me to your New Years Jubilee party -- in friendship -- then we could have watched the Twilight Zone Marathon together.

TIS, definitely a classic TZ twist! I was telling my dad, I'd love to somehow watch my favorite episodes for the first time again, and relive my initial surprise at some of the shocking endings.

Very nice, DC! lol

I was flipping through channels yesterday morning and came across the TZ episode "Miniature" with Robert Duvall, in which the inhabitants of a museum's dollhouse come to life just for him. It was very good. Strange to see Duvall as such a timid young man.

Not in years, but Duvall was great as Boo. Great film, great book.
