The title of the thread is kind of deceiving as the article states the following. The computer-generated rankings, Lewis said, were intended to determine "the correlation between positive and negative feelings generated by each team based on their starts to this season." They weren't an indication of which team is "most-loved or most-hated." That would be like the same company doing this type of research reguarding the NFL and it showed that for an example the Atlanta Falcons being the most hated. It's absurd as we can probably agree that it's the Dallas Cowboys. The point is the Yankees and the Cowboys are the same type of team just different sports.

Did the article change? I swear I read somewhere the words "most hated". Now it says a bit of an explanation as to how the study was conducted. I don't remember reading that before.
EDIT: I just noticed at the top of the article it says "This story has been corrected." I assume a lot of people were upset or confused because of the way it was originally worded, which made no sense really. Anyway, BAM got it right the first time by quoting the original article... it's been edited since the original posting.
