#2, the #2 bust of all time. RELEASED BY THE RAIDERS. What's happening? Did someone kidnap Al Davis and is forcing him to make sensible decisions? Russell is so lazy, I don't even think he'll try to sign with anyone else. He got his 40 million or so. He's 300 pounds. Maybe the Colts will sign him as a Tackle. Russell will most likely be bankrupt in 5 years. That means Russell has been paid more than $5 million per win, more than $2 million per touchdown pass and more than $100,000 per completion. ---------------------------------------------------------- Also, Lawrence Taylor charged with raping a 16 year old girl. Fuck him.
Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

From the Steelers Post Gazette website: what is banned if one visits training camp. Banned: Alcohol, drugs, whistles, nudity (unless tastefully done), video cameras (taking video on cell phones is discouraged but hard to stop), profanity, stalkers, graffiti, pets, pests, Baltimore Ravens scouts, hovering helicopters and hot-air balloons, Santonio Holmes and Bob Ligashesky. Fomer Raiders safety Jack Tatum, one of the most feared tacklers in NFL history, died Tuesday in Oakland. He was 61.
Nicknamed "The Assassin," Tatum suffered a heart attack, according to John Hicks, his friend and former Ohio State teammate. Ohio State also confirmed Tatum's death.
"We have lost one of our greatest Buckeyes," Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel said in a statement. "When you think of Ohio State defense, the first name that comes to mind is Jack Tatum. His loss touches every era of Ohio State players and fans."
Tatum might be best known for his hit that paralyzed New England Patriots wide receiver Darryl Stingley during an NFL preseason game on Aug. 12, 1978. Stingley ran head-on into Tatum on a crossing pattern, and the safety's blow severed the receiver's fourth and fifth vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed.

I disagree - Leaf is far and away the #1 bust of all time. I wouldn't even put Russell #2 - that belongs to the overhyped, over-roided Tony Mandarich.
Mandarich in Indy was an OK/mediocre tackle, i.e. having a career somewhere in the NFL after his initial massive flop origins. Russell so far won't even get that.
The reason Leaf is #1 is that he was an ass and treated people awfully everywhere he went - college and the pros. He had that famous meltdown on the SD reporter in which Junior Seau had to step in.
With that logic, HOFer O.J. Simpson flopped too. I'm talking about the hype and comparing/contrasting the field results, not their values as human beings. I call this the Ty Cobb Rule. Not only that, he was taken in the same draft as first-ballot HOFer Peyton Manning. Russell was in what has turned out to be a weak 2007 NFL QB class.
Good point.

By Scott Brown, PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW Friday, August 27, 2010
James Harrison is not one for subtlety. And the Steelers' outside linebacker was nothing if not blunt when he said everything changes if the NFL expands its regular season from 16 to 18 games.
If that happens, he said, "I need a new contract, or I'm not coming to camp."
If the reaction of Harrison and others in the Steelers' locker room is any indication, any attempts to lengthen the season only will expand the divide between the NFL Players Association and team owners. Players generally oppose the idea that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell again endorsed Wednesday for several reasons, chief among them the physical toll it will take on them.
"It's taking years off our bodies, adding extra two games," Steelers receiver Hines Ward said. "You won't see guys with 10 or more years career-wise -- only kickers and quarterbacks."
