In what is a sad day for Metal fans all over the world, legendary metal singer Ronnie James Dio who has fronted for Elf, Rainbow and Black Sabbath as well as his own band Dio died early this morning of stomach cancer.

Man...what a shame. Dio was definitely one of the (if not THE) greatest metal vocalist of all time, and certainly a metal icon. RIP. frown
