How long do u guys think he would of been boss?Because all the gambinos were getting tired of his show boating and bringing attention on them,so i think sammy would of probably made a move because he was smart but also very greedy and would of saw being boss would of bought him more money.

And samy always says that John was setting him up to take the fall but if that did happen isnt that like snitching?Making someone else do time for your crime

Not that long, he wasnt liked that much by the other families. I dont think Sammy would make a move, he would have stayed loyal to Gotti.

But wasnt Gotti right about those murders? It was Sammy who wanted all that, and Gotti simply talked about that. That does not count as snitching, its talkin behind the back.

Perhaps the Lucchesse and Genovese would try again to kill Gotti as revenge for killing Castellano and use his flamboyant, media attention seeking ways as an excuse to convince the other mob families.

The wrong man died in the car explosion, it would have far better for Cosa Nostra if Gotti died and DeCicco lived!

It's really a moot point because it was always going to be the law that was going to bring him down. If he had escaped that trial it would have been another one that got him. You just can't be a recognized boss like that anymore. The days of the politcal protection is pretty much over.

I think Sammy would have taken him out somehow. I think Sammy was all about himself and more selfish than Gotti, he just knew how to stay away from the spotlight.

I think both were equally as selfish. if Sammy was the boss he probably would have done a better job. sammy was a different type of gangster than gotti. Sammy was involved in white collar rackets and construction which are better suited in today's world than the 50's or 60's. Gotti had the balls to be boss but not the brains. Gotti knew about hijacking and loansharking and that was about it. There are many different aspects of organized crime and in order to be a crime boss you have to know a lot about most of these rackets

Gotti would have been a good front boss, he could take all the heat, while someone with brains runs things from behind the scenes. I think Gotti's ego was too big to allow something like that to happen though. Gotti had no problme killing off big earners for the smallest of reasons, and didn't have smart enough people around him to replace them.
