For our brethren in the South who panic at two inches of snow, THIS is WINTER. This January reminded Detroit resident Galina Glyshaw of winters where she grew up — in Siberia.
Glyshaw moved to Michigan 14 years ago from Novosibirsk, Russia’s largest city in its Siberian region, where temperatures average 4 below in the winter. “In Siberia, I used to walk 40 minutes one-way to work, and I was fine,” she said. “Here, I’m outside 15 minutes to clean the car and I’m already cold. ... This winter has really kicked me. I think I need my Siberian winter clothes again.”...

Wow,, great pics Lilo. I may be in sunny California but living in MI for 32 years I DO remember it well. (It's THIS time of year I am so glad I'm here LOL) I saw the GA pics and I thought GA must not be use to "real" snow. Heck, I'll be first to admit here in CA, all it takes is a drizzle for the freeways to come to a crawl. I can only imagine 1 or 2 inches of snow. TIS

Based on the behavior of our southern brethren I am debating whether to call 911 or call in sick to work tomorrow.

No school today because Nashville thought rain was in climate weather. But of course I look at the bright side of things and realize that I don't have to take any of my tests today. I knew I always liked Mondays.
