Has anyone read this? What a GREAT book. DeStefano is proving to be the best true crime writer once again. He puts Phillip Carlo to shame. I would love to see DeStefano team up with Capeci for a book. I always wondered why no one has written a book about Matty "The Horse" Ianello or Matthew Maddona. They seem to be two of the most secret old timers that ever existed

I agree with what you said about DeStefano. He's truly a very good writer, a thorough researcher who appears to really go out of his way to be as accurate as possible. I've e-mailed him a few times and he's always been a gentleman. Looking forward to read Mob Killer.

I will say this about Philip Carlo though. He was a hero who had to deal with some horrible things in his life, but as a writer, he wasn't very good. His books were often scattered with errors.

Anyone interested in the Bonannos should read DeStefano's King Of The Godfathers. It takes you right inside the Bonanno borgata.

I have been waiting for this book for awhile now. However i refuse to read it online. I would rather read it for the first time in book format.

I cant, as I told Dapper Don, my cousin works for Pinnacle Books, the Company that published the books. Before they release a book they do market research to determine how to market the book and to what overall audience. So to do this, they hire people from all over the United States and provide them with a secure user name and password to read the book and submit a detailed review, answer a bazillion page questionare and give them feedback. I cant say how I got the link to read these books before they come out, but I think you can put 2 and 2 together.

I wish I could man, I really do. This is a freaking MUST read when it hits the shelves. DeStafano has proven again hes the best author of this particular "subject"
