George Anastasia is soo much better than Capeci, the only thing that Jerry has going for him is that he reports on the NY guys and has developed some underworlds sources because hes been doing this for a long time. George does a great job with Philly

Yeah I love George Anastasia. He's a seriously thorough researcher, has sources everywhere and he's very articulate. When he talks, you hang to every word. In a sense, he's like the Robert Stack of organized crime reporting.

I do have to give Capeci a lot of credit though. I've been reading his columns for many years and his books too, and the man has always kept me interested. His sources are reliable and to me, he's one of the best in his field.

I like them both as well. Anastasia seems like he wants to be more prolific but is limited with the amount of material he has in Philly. If he started to cover the NY families would he have to pay tribute to Capeci? Would he get his legs broken?

George use to meet with george borgesi back in the day, that was his top source on the street...now that's gone. No one important talks to him, but he still does a great job, very talented writer. It's shame no one gets the paper no more, fuckin idiot kids writing blogs or whatever acting like actually writers; it's terrible.
