it never sed in the movies that he got his button. i know he "made his bone" by killing the turk but it never mentioned it.

If Michael was ever formally "made," it's never mentioned in any of the movies or in the novel ( not "The Godfather Returns"  ). Nor was anyone else "made." In real life, not all Mafia families have a formal "making" ceremony with pricking of fingers, burning saints' cards, etc.

but they are set in new york. they all follow the rules of the commision and i dont think ppl would follow orders of some punk kid just b/c he is vito's son. he had the qualication to be made and the other families prolly wouldnt respect him at all
