I bought this game years ago and just recently started playing it again. Its more of a strategy game, not like the GTA or Mafia series.
Anyone familiar with this game? Anyone know of any other mafia games that are similar? I really wish someone would come out with an organized crime game that would deal with more of building up a family and the economics, i.e.... hiring specialist hoods, running legal and illegal businesses, competing against rival families for turf and going to war if necessary, bribing cops and officials, etc. For example, the game could start either with you just receiving permission from a godfather to start your own family, or you move to a new city and start a crime family from the ground up.
Let me know what you guys think....I Believe there would be a huge demand for this type of game IMO.

Correction....
Sorry, the name of the game is actually "GANGSTERS: Organized Crime". I have no idea why I typed in Mafia...duh

If you can take it for what it is, a game easy in difficult that takes several liberties with the storyline, don't take it too seriously. You'll enjoy it for the same elements you mentioned. Just pretend Hyman Roth is based off Santo Trafficante instead of Meyer Lansky, and the Almeida Family is Castro's Army. Everything makes more sense that way. Or for something more traditional. Try Gangland on PC.
