I wonder how long Cefalu will last when it takes the US authorities only a couple of weeks to figure out who´s at top. As soon as prosecutors feel they´ve got a solid Rico case, Cefalu will be charged. Gone are the days when Bonanno, Profaci, Lucchese, Gambino, Magaddino and other powerhouses back in the days ruled for 20, 30 and even 40 yaers!
Normally, when a boss is made, he makes people to stabilize his power within the Family. Soldiers are usually made capos and other capos are bumped down to soldiers when a boss is made. So probably, Cefalu has made new recruits and rearrenged the Family´s structure a little bit.

Didn't a year ago, they said Jackie Nose was the official boss? Another media speculation perhaps?

i dont know whats preventing them to remove amuso as boss. also what does a boss do with the money he gets if he is in prison anyway? It probably suits the acting boss if law enforcement have an official boss to focus on who is in prison. I think they would give the money to their wives, children etc. Exactly what Nicky said. Anyway, you can never have too much money. A more intriguing question would be how much less kickups they would get from their crews. I know wiseguys in the can were pretty much left on their own device and nobody took care of them. I know things would be different for Amuso and Persico since they are bosses. Let's take into consideration that there is a great probability that these bosses are just figureheads and a 'lightning rod' for guys on the street, and they held little or no say to the affairs of their respective Families.
