The car they were in was right across the street from my house, I walked out of my house on my way to school early that morning, lit a smoke and noticed a kid from down the next block looking in the car and then swiftly running back home. I crossed the street , peered into the drivers side of the car and saw two men who had obviously been whacked.

Ran back into my house and woke everyone who was not up and told them what was out there, we went back outside and several minutes later NYPD was shutting it down, asked my Mother if they could use the phone to set up a base and she said “ NO, Get the fuck out of my house”. Someone had already let them in to use the phone once but she shut that down.

We had many friends and FAMILY on both sides of the LAW at the time and would never choose sides for good reasons.

Nice I got the pictures online and am 99% sure both are authentic of both men. The source is reliable.

I always wondered about the Lufthansa people and others around Burke/Hill. I have been digging for pictures and information of people like Angelo Sepe, Richard Eaton, and Marty Krugman. There are a few online, but I wanna see more. I have like one or two more I found recently as well.

A few more in regards to Goodfellas and Lufthansa people.

First one is picture of Lewis Werner, only one ever convicted of Lufthansa Heist.

Second one is of Theresa Ferrera, I have never seen the picture before. One of the victims of Lufthansa.

Last one is a rare picture of Angelo Sepe, one of the Lufthansa suspects. Killed in 1984.

Any chance of digging up a photo of Billy Batts? Or whatever his name was? Seems to be some questions around his identity. There's gotta be something out there on him.

I question the picture online about him. Only thing I can find are articles of him getting arrested in early 60s with Carmine Galante.

I found one rare pic of Sam Giancana on page 244 on https://vault.fbi.gov/salvatore-sam-giancana/salvatore-sam-giancana-part-01-of-02/view. Does anybody have a better resolution of it?

A while back Nick Pilleggi was on the Adam Carolla podcast and they were discussing Goodfellas and Casino. He said that Billy Batts was his real name and that he was one of the only made guys that had a mustache and beard. He also said the famous Jimmy "Two Times" "I'm gonna get the papers, get the papers" guy's nickname was actually Johnny "Echoes" but they couldn't get the OK to use it or the family didn't want it used for whatever reason. Like how Jimmy Burke's family wanted to get paid, so they changed the name to Conway. Don't know why the guy's family would object to it, it's not like he was a main character or he was portrayed in a negative light or anything. I know the official movie poster for Goodfellas has a generic mob guy dead on it beneath Henry/Jimmy/Tommy, but the guy looks an awful lot like Jimmy "two times". Ha.

I heard about Johnny Echoes, he is mentioned in the book wiseguy. Johnny Echoes LNU. Billy Batts real name was William Bentvena. Picture of Bentvena circulating online, do not know if that is really him or not.

That pic that's attributed to him with the glasses is Pat "the Cat" Spirito out of Philly.

Even Santa had to kick up to Scarfo.

ya a father and son in the same federal facility is new to me. its says massimino is in philly fdc rite now. pretty crazy the ex underboss of the family is locked up im guessing downtown philly shouting orders from his window. he was sentenced to 16 yr back in 2013 hes been locked up since 2011. maybe he has a appeal. looks like the place doesnt even have a yard stink to do time there
